BBH Solutions Director of Optimized Communications Layne Frank was featured on PIX11’s evening news on July 27. PIX11 is the CW Network’s local affiliate for New York City.
Yesterday, news broke that Google extended it’s work from home policy until July 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Shortly after that, PIX11’s news desk reached out to Layne for his comments on the expanding remote workforce landscape. Similar to tech giant Google, BBH Solutions has adapted to a nearly 100 percent remote work model.
“I’ve been commuting in and out of the city for almost 25 years. That all came to a stop,” said Layne. “I’ve adjusted very well to the home office environment. We are operating just fine; no need to put people in harm’s way,” he added.
Since the COVID related shutdowns, which began in March of this year, BBH Solutions supported its clients with business continuance for long-term remote computing and collaboration. “Over the years we have advised our clients to prepare for unpredictable events by having secure remote access technology and contingency plans in place,” said Bruce Hoernecke, President and CEO of BBH Solutions. “Google’s decision to extend their remote work plan for another year reinforces the importance of readiness in the event of shutdowns due to natural or man-made disasters.”
